Undocumented feature - Customize GoldSMS's highlight color
In GoldSMS's lower half we see the thread of inbound and outbound text messages from time prior to the present, with the top line of each message highlighted in a standard kind of light-ish yellow. Do you prefer pink? or green? Well, now it's a simple matter of setting the color in the goldsms.ini file found in the root of your GoldSMS installation. Simply add the line:

txtHiliteColor = Mycolor

and you're all set.  "Mycolor" must be in hex notation. The default value is #FFFFA3. Don't forget the "#". In addition, you can use a handful of "standard" color names, as follows:

LightBlue
LightCoral
LightCyan
LightGoldenRodYellow
LightGray
LightGreen
LightPink
LightSalmon
LightSeaGreen
LightSkyBlue
LightSlateGray
LightSteelBlue
LightYellow

So txtHiliteColor = LightSkyBlue would work as well as txtHiliteColor = #FFA07A. The latter, of course would give you LightSalmon. On a garlic bagel. With cream cheese.

If you need to find the hex code for your favorite color, try googling "highlight colors hex codes" and you will find a plethora of such sites.

Note: We don't guarantee that your choice will be tasteful, nor even usable (hint: avoid non-light colors). Hence, you can always rever to the default just by removing this txtHiliteColor line.

Note 2: The goldsms.ini file supplies settings on a more-or-less "global" basis; however, you could just as easily add your favorite color to your username.ini file, which will take precedence over goldsms.ini. Doing it this way, each person in the office could have their own favorite highlighting color.

RE: Undocumented feature - Customize GoldSMS's highlight color
A nice option for this would be to allow defining the incoming and outgoing TXT colors differently, so that I could perhaps make the incoming messages blue and the outgoing yellow.

RE: Undocumented feature - Customize GoldSMS's highlight color
In a near-future build you'll be able to use:

txiColor = mycolor
txoColor = mycolor

with "stock" colors including:

black
white
red
blue
green
yellow
orange
violet
purple
pink
silver
gold
gray
aqua
skyblue
lightblue
fuchsia
khaki

and of course you can use any hex color code you'd like.
